The Practice recognises that from time to time difficulties arise such as adverse weather or other transport disruption, which severely hinders or prevents employees getting to their place of work. Fortunately such occurrences are rare.
The Practice sets out some flexibility regarding attendance in such circumstances. Account must, however, be taken of those employees who because they live locally to their place of work may well find that the burden of the responsibilities of those not attending falls on them.
