The Grange Practice is an Any Qualified Provider for direct access non-obstetric ultrasound scanning for Kent.

We receive referrals from the majority of the Thant GP surgeries and some in the Sandwich and Dover area. Typically, we can accommodate routine scans within 2 weeks and urgent scans within 48 hours. The majority of reports are sent back to the referring clinician the same day, with images also being sent to the local hospitals, if appropriate, for inputting into the hospital clinical system.

The service is staffed by two Health Professions Council registered and highly experienced female Sonographers and one of our male GP’s – Dr Markus Maiden-Tilsen. Dr Maiden-Tilsen holds a Diploma in Ultrasound and provides addition clinical insight to the scans he undertakes. Referring clinicians may contact any of these staff for advice if needed.
